Dress Up Henry Gale!

Per request, here is the comparison between Henry Gale and the medical surgeon who was about to do the baby extraction of Claire in "Maternity Leave".

If this were true, it would lend credence to my "there aren't really that many Others, so each one has to wear many hats (literally), and they can't overpower the Survivors by sheer force" theory.

If nothing else, it's fun to pretend!

Wow! Great discovery. I think it looks like Henry is indeed one of the Others

I mean, put a mask and cap on anyone and they'll look alike. Though, based on the information given about Gale and his odd speach, I want to say he is an 'Other' though I do know that whatever seems the obvious choice is always wrong when it comes to Lost.

it could also be that they just used him as an extra in that scene

hey brian.
i just discovered your awesome blog and read up the last posts concerning the newer episodes. you rock, dude. keep up the good work. i liked your third (C) theory about henry gale and his story. he's an "converted" other used by them to weaken the losties because there really are not that many of 'em.
looking forward reading your blog in the future. wurm

I, also, appreciate the hard work and analyzing you do over lost. Although i'm a long time reader, i never post.

Anyways, its fun to think about henry being the guy in the operating room, but in reality it could be anyone.

Time will tell.

Wow...it's like you have your phd in lost studies! Seriously, you're insight in the show is impressive.

Like justin said, a cap and mask can make anyone look similar, especially when the medical worker also had glasses on concealing his eyes even more.

I'm convinced that Henry is an other. I would be so annoyed if the writers spent so much time developing his character to have him be a drifter on the island. He's too knifing. He just doesn't seem surprised to have found other people on the island.

Sure looks like him to me!

I guess it kind of sucks that you get an average of 575 hits a week, and you only get like 10 comments per post!! (I divided your number of total hits by the 17 months you've been posting, and then divided that by 4.2 to get how many hits you get a week. But of course, you probably get a lot more than that these days and way fewer when you first started this thing!) Anyway, I read everyweek, and rarely (if ever?) post a comment. But I think this is an AWESOME site and I think you're a freekin' genius!

cece,

It's no big deal. This Blog hasn't really been around that long. I started out sending Emails to people, but moved to this format last summer to allow pictures to be added and to prevent evil firewall blockers who considered my Emails "Spam".

(Actually, I still send Email notifications to the original 100 or so people whenever I make updates.)

I agree with Cece (and everyone else who's commented). Your theories are brilliant and it's become my new favorite LOST site (I don't think a whole lot of people in the world would track down the meaning of the hieroglyphs on the Dharma timer) and I am absolutely shocked that so few people comment to say thanks, especially after the whole balloon picture affair that we now know is true. This is a great site (it's more informative than the official podcast!) and I hope you keep writing about LOST.

P.S.: How exactly do you have the time to type all this up?

I had found the cap of the surgeon who was about to do the baby extraction of Claire in "Maternity Leave" this morning. I realized it had to be important because he is the only one in this whole episode who looks directly at the camera!! I agree it has to be "Henry Gale"

Hi Brian -- Great insight and mind altering analysis. You keep me reading for hours while waiting for another show!!! Thank you!!

In the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy Gale lives with her Uncle Henry and Auntie Em...in other words, "Henry Gale"

As for Lockes legs not having "feeling" in season one. He also said that the Island was "taking away" what it had given him. Given the circumstances, I would say that this numbness was unique to that episode. I don't recall seeing that symptom again. (could the island have wanted to keep Locke out of the plane or wanted Boone to die?... but this is a different episode...)
