Watch. Please.

Photobucket

I don't know how to put this delicately, so I'll just come out and say it:

If you love me, you'll watch "Pushing Daisies" this Wednesday night at 8:00 pm on ABC.

Why all the urgency? Well apparently, "Pushing Daisies", the happiest, fantastical-tastic, heart-warming, word-bendiest show on TV is in serious danger of being cancelled. Rumor on the street is that ABC is waiting to see the ratings for this week's show (and possibly next week's) before deciding if they will give the show a full season or cancel it after 13 episodes.

This is serious people. In a world of drab, depressing, inane crime dramas, "Pushing Daisies" shines like a beacon of color-saturated hope in an otherwise black and white TV world. I don't want to over-exaggerate, but I'm pretty sure "Pushing Daisies" can single handedly solve the world's current financial and economic crises... but only if you watch.

Do it for me. Do it for you. Do it for the future of humanity, mankind, and the world.

Pushing Daisies.
Wednesday.
8:00 pm.
ABC.

Tell everyone you know.

Ever since this show debuted, it has filled a soft, squishy part of me that I never knew needed filling. Amazing visuals and fantastic score aside, The characters and the actors portraying them just shine. Along with the fantastically fun and many times silly story lines, is dialogue that just sings (and sometimes literally sings) from the mouths of the actors. It is a shame that in the wasteland of primetime television, that a unique and enchanting show such as Daisies isn't getting the love it deserves. Here's hoping cooler heads prevail and Daisies is allowed to live to warm the heart another season or 5.

Sorry, I was too busy watching the Shield... I know, one your lousy crime dramas, but damn can those guys act...

"shines like a beacon of color-saturated hope in an otherwise black and white TV world"

That sounds like it came straight from the show. Even the Most Negative Man In The World, my boyfriend, loves this show. As J. said, it fills that squishy part you didn't know needed filling.

Ugh. Yet another bout of disappointment. First it was Arrested Development, then Studio 60, now PD.

I wish networks would give shows more time. The Office was nearly cancelled after it's first season. Give things a chance...

The new Promo on ABC.com is amazing. Some really awesome scenes thrown in there. Would love some analysis Brain, if you get a chance!

:( Word this afternoon from Ausiello is that "that ABC has opted not to order additional episodes of Pushing Daisies for this season. The network isn't commenting, but multiple sources confirm that the show has effectively been canceled."

I'm in mourning.

The only thing keeping me from leaping to my death off a tall building right now (in hopes that the Pie Maker will bring me back to life) is that apparently the "Arrested Development" movie has been confirmed. Seriously this time.

Arrested Development > Pushing Daisies > 99.9% of Television of the Past 20 Years

Hey, Brian, now that PD is over, I think you should consider blogging about Fringe like you mentioned. It's a good show that definately warrants commentary.

Brian I have watched Pushing Daisies since the begining. I learned of the show from your post 2 years ago. I agree it is one of the better non cookie cutter show on now. I will sure miss if they take it off.

Well I couldn't help in the effort to save Pushing Daisies, I've lost my remote since my husband came home. But I'm excited that LOST is less than 2 months away!!!
