Chill-Inducing Lost Season Four Trailer!

Whoa.

I know I'm one behind on my "Lost: Missing Pieces", but this can't wait. You know that "Season Four Trailer" I posted below? Well it just got blown away by this new 1:46 second preview that gives us more glimpses into the new season than we could have ever hoped for.

I'll update with my thoughts and theories tonight - but I couldn't resist posting this up this morning. I've watched it about five times, and each time I get chills and keep thinking "Lost is going to end up being the greatest story that has ever been told." Maybe they're right - absence does make the heart grow fonder!

Whoa.

Holy crap! I actually held my breath and felt like I was floating. What was in that video?
Please writers strike be over soon! My two favourite parts were Hurley jumping into the ocean, and all the bits of Sawyer. Yum!

Brian, I have just finished season 2 of my own personal Lost rewind, since it sort of lost steam earlier this year. I am constantly amazed at how thoughtful and accurate your ideas have been. My husband is convinced that you work for ABC and my daughter thinks you are some kind of genius. I love reading your entries, but have a hard time scrolling through to find the episode I just finished watching. When I go to read comments on archived entries, sometimes i have to start over to get to where I left off reading. I wonder if you have considered publishing this blog in book form, as a companion reading piece for the DVDs. I may be just old enough to still prefer books to computer screens, and the scrolling through archives is a huge hassle for me, and many times i get lost (haha) and frustrated when trying to remember where I left off. Just an idea from another obsessed fan.

Some will survive, some will not - and after they say some will not they show Sayid and Jin. Do you think they would really make it that obvious?

Drudo: you could also try here: http://abc.go.com/video/index

All of the links suggested are blocked. I work for the government. They filter everything. Any other ideas?

One last idea for you. I just found that they are showing both of the new season 4 trailers at www.lost.abc.com

That shouldn't be blocked. Good Luck.

I am so very excited about the new season and the fact that they moved it up. I liked the fact that they told us that some will leave and some won't. Also when they showed the helicopter leaving the island we already know Claire and Aaron are on it because Desmond's visions show them gettinjg on board and being "saved" but if the guys that show up aren't primarily there to save them I wonder if Claire and them actually get to go home or if they'll be held hostage or something.

Have you seen the discussion about translating the numbers into coordinates? This may be old news to you because I haven't been around here in a while. But check this out:

I can't wait for season 4 to start...January 31st is my birthday. What an awesome birthday present!
Brian, just curious, do you STILL not believe that Michael Emerson personally recommended your blog to me?
Cause he DID, gosh darnit!
Looking forward to reading your blog all season long. I hope the show moving to 9 will help you pump out the Instant Reactions and still go to bed at a decent hour!

laura - I really have no reason to NOT believe you about Michael Emerson recommending the Blog, aside from the cynical realist in me who tells me "famous people are too good to read the Internet for themselves - they have other people read it for them and give cliff notes summaries to them".

If it's true, it's just about the coolest thing ever though.

everyone else - Sorry for the delays on the Mobisodes - a two-for-one is on its way up right now!

Hi again-
I have never been on a tv or movie set, but I get the impression that there is a lot of waiting that goes on in between filming scenes. So it would seem totally plausible that Michael Emerson would pass the time between takes with his laptop, surfing the internet and yes, checking LOST blogs such as yours! And I would rather read something myself that have some minion regurgitate it for me, especially if I had lots of time on my hands.
The only other way I can think of to PROVE I met him would be for Michael Emerson himself to write to you and back me up, but how to know it's really him writing, and would he even remember meeting me? He might tell you WHAT store we were at in St. Augustine, or the embarrassing thing my daughter did while we were talking.
Unlikely that this would happen. But here's the bottom line, Brian- your blog is really amazing, Michael Emerson reads it, and when I had the amazing luck of meeting him, he told me about it. I memorized the address on the spot by humming "My Darling Clementine" to myself. (although I did have to google "Lost and Gone Forever" when I got home. I forgot about the dashes.)
Hope you're enjoying some fun holiday loot! Best wishes for 2008!

WOW!!!

laura - you've won me over. Cynicism be damned, I'm a believer. Thank you for talking some sense into me!

Now the only question is, do I add the tagline: "As Read By Michael Emerson" beneath "Lost and Gone Forever" on the title page? :)

Rebecca said...

Brian - you need to talk to Emerson's people and see about him doing a podcast of himself reading your blog. THAT would be awesome and sorta maybe make up for the fact that we may only get 8 epi's this season. I REALLY hope this strike ends soon, and in a way that the writer's still want to finish the story out.
